Odisha Government Reshuffles IPS Officers, Ananya Awasthi Posted as ACP in Bhubaneswar-Kataka

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday effected a minor reshuffle of IPS officers, transferring two officers to new assignments.

As per a notification issued by the Home Department, Ananya Awasthi, an RR-2022 batch IPS officer, has been transferred from the Governor’s office and appointed as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in the Bhubaneswar-Kataka Police Commissionerate.

Awasthi was serving as the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) to the Governor of Odisha before the latest transfer.

In a separate move, Anugu Shiva Maruthi Reddy, an RR-2023 batch IPS officer, has been transferred from his current position as Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), G. Udayagiri.

Reddy has been appointed as the Additional Deputy Commissioner to the Governor of Odisha, succeeding Awasthi in the post.

The transfers are part of a minor administrative reshuffle within the state police cadre.
