Sudarsan Pattnaik Creates Sand Sculpture at Puri Beach to Stand with Venezuela Earthquake Victims

Bhubaneswar: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has paid tribute to the victims of the devastating earthquake in Venezuela by creating a striking six-foot sand sculpture on Puri Beach, conveying a message of compassion and global solidarity.
The sculpture prominently carries the message, “Prayers For Venezuela, Help the Victims,” symbolising support for those affected by the natural disaster.
Sharing photographs of the artwork on his X handle, Pattnaik said the sculpture was his way of extending heartfelt prayers and standing in solidarity with the people of Venezuela during their difficult time. He expressed hope for the speedy recovery of the injured and offered condolences to families who lost their loved ones in the tragedy.
“My heartfelt prayers are with the people of Venezuela. Through this sand art, I want to express solidarity with the victims and their families. May they find strength, hope and support in this challenging time,” Pattnaik said.
The sand installation was created with the assistance of students from the Sudarsan Sand Art Institute, who joined him in completing the tribute.
Internationally acclaimed for using sand art to highlight humanitarian, environmental and social issues, Pattnaik has represented India at over 65 international sand sculpture championships and festivals, earning widespread recognition and numerous prestigious honours for his work.
