Odisha CM Mohan Majhi Condoles Death of Ajit Pawar in Baramati Plane Crash

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has condoled the death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who was killed in a tragic plane crash near Baramati on Wednesday morning.

In a statement and a post on his X account, CM Majhi described Pawar as a “dynamic politician and a dedicated public servant” and expressed deep sorrow over his sudden demise. He also prayed to Lord Shri Jagannath to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to Pawar’s family and well-wishers.

“The news of the untimely demise of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Shri Ajit Pawar ji in an airplane accident is extremely heartbreaking and soul-stirring,” Majhi wrote. “In this hour of profound grief, I express my condolences to the bereaved family, colleagues, and the people of Maharashtra. I pray to Lord Shri Jagannath ji that He grant the departed soul a place at His divine feet and bestow strength upon the grieving family to bear this sorrow. Om Shanti.”

The chartered aircraft carrying Pawar crashed near Baramati Airport in Maharashtra’s Pune district at around 8:45 am, killing all on board, including the Deputy Chief Minister. The incident has prompted an outpouring of tributes from leaders across the country as shock and grief spread through Maharashtra and beyond.
