Odisha’s first handball sports hostel to come up in Keonjhar

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday announced the establishment of the state’s first 100-bed handball sports hostel. The said facility will come up in Keonjhar district.
The CM said that the said handball sports hostel will be built at a cost of Rs 9.37 crore. It will accommodate 50 boys and 50 girls, providing them with opportunities to excel in handball and bring pride to the district and state.
This initiative is part of the government’s commitment to develop sports in the state.
The Handball Association has expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Majhi for this initiative, which is expected to boost the sport in the region. This move aligns with the state’s focus on promoting indigenous sports and nurturing young talent.
