Oppo launches new Reno 15 series in India

Some of the Oppo Reno15 family members already entered the global stage, but one of the new additions to the series, the Reno15 Pro Mini, remained under wraps until today. The company officially launched the Oppo Reno15, Reno15 Pro, Reno15c and the Reno15 Pro Mini at a launch event in India today.

The Mini, as the name implies, features a somewhat small 6.32-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. The handset relies on a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage or 12GB RAM with 512GB storage.

Despite its size, the Mini gets a complete and potent camera setup. The main shooter is the 200MP HP5 sensor from Samsung paired with an f/1.8 lens. The periscope telephoto camera offers 3.5x optical zoom, 50MP resolution, and f/2.8 aperture. The ultrawide, on the other hand, also gets a 50MP shooter, but with a wider f/2.0 aperture. It also supports autofocus. The front-facing unit gets a 50MP sensor as well and an f/2.0 aperture.

All that hardware draws power from a 6,200 mAh battery supporting 80W fast wired charging over the proprietary SuperVOOC standard. Notably, the battery is quite large given the footprint of the device.Of course, the device runs on ColorOS 16 software based on Android 16.

Other notable features include IP66 and IP68 protection against water, and a fresh new design and build. The Glacier White and Crystal Pink colors feature an interesting new “Ribbon Design”, but you can also get it in Cocoa Brown without the ribbon pattern. All variants use glass for the back and aluminum for the side frame, while Gorilla Glass 7i protects the display on the front.

The handset will be made available on January 13, and the base 12GB/256GB model costs INR 59,999, while the 512GB variant is priced at INR 64,999.
