Odisha Reviews Over 6.23 Lakh Pending Applications Under Subhadra Yojana

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is processing more than 6,23,555 pending applications under the Subhadra Yojana, a financial assistance scheme for women in the state. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida informed the State Assembly that the fresh applications are currently under scrutiny and verification across multiple levels.

Officials are examining documents and eligibility criteria to ensure that benefits are granted only to genuine recipients. District administrations are coordinating with the state government to cross-check details submitted by applicants. The pending list includes women who turned 21 this year as well as those who were unable to register during the previous window.
Once the verification process is completed, eligible beneficiaries will receive funds for all three instalments in a single payment, which is expected to be disbursed in March 2026.
