Odisha Identifies 51 Bangladeshi Nationals; 49 Deported, Says CM Majhi

Bhubaneswar: The BJP-led Odisha government has identified 51 Bangladeshi nationals residing across several districts since assuming office, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed the Assembly on Monday. Of them, 49 individuals have already been deported to Bangladesh after completing all legal procedures.
In a written reply to a question raised by BJD MLA Goutam Buddha Das from Bhograi, the Chief Minister stated that the traced individuals were located in Bhubaneswar Urban Police District (24), Cuttack Urban Police District (15), Ganjam (6), Kandhamal (3) and Koraput (1).

Two others — one from Ganjam and another from Kandhamal — were found to have obtained Indian passports by submitting fake documents. Separate cases have been registered against them, and both have been produced before the court.
Majhi further stated that the identification of illegal infiltrators is an ongoing and continuous process, being carried out across the state to ensure proper monitoring and legal action.
