Berhampur Forest Division Wins Top Honour at National Water Awards

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has congratulated the Regional Chief Conservator of Forests (RCCF), Berhampur, for securing the first position in the Geo-Institution (Other than School & College – Outside Campus) category at the 6th National Water Awards 2024.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister lauded the team’s dedication, innovation, and contribution to water resource conservation and management, calling the achievement a “matter of immense pride” for Odisha.

The Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, presented the award in recognition of the Berhampur team’s outstanding work in promoting sustainable natural resource management and environmental stewardship.
The National Water Awards (NWAs) aim to recognise and encourage individuals and organisations contributing to the government’s vision of a ‘Jal Samridh Bharat’. The awards promote public awareness about water conservation and inspire communities to adopt best practices in water use and management.
