CM Mohan Charan Majhi Leaves for Mumbai to Attend India Maritime Week 2025

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday left for Mumbai to attend the prestigious India Maritime Week (IMW) 2025, scheduled from October 27 to 31.

Majhi will participate in the inaugural session on Monday as the Guest of Honour and later attend the Odisha Special Session in the afternoon. The session will highlight the state’s port-led investment opportunities and its growing export potential through world-class sea ports.

A high-level delegation from the Government of Odisha has already reached Mumbai to represent the state at the summit.

India Maritime Week is a premier national and international platform that brings together government leaders, industry experts, and investors to discuss advancements in maritime infrastructure, port development, and the Blue Economy. The event aims to encourage collaboration, innovation, and investment in India’s expanding maritime sector.

Odisha’s participation underscores its vision to emerge as a leading hub for port-led industrial growth and coastal economic development. During the Odisha session, the delegation will showcase the state’s modern port infrastructure, logistics network, fisheries potential, and maritime technology initiatives to attract both domestic and global investors.

The visit also coincides with the Odisha Government completing 500 days under Chief Minister Majhi’s leadership — a period marked by a strong emphasis on inclusive development, industrial expansion, and job creation.

The Government of Odisha has extended an invitation to investors, industry stakeholders, and maritime professionals to explore the state’s vast opportunities and join its mission to become a strategic gateway for trade, innovation, and sustainable maritime growth.
