11-Foot Python Rescued in Kalahandi, Released into Forest

Bhawanipatna: A massive python measuring about 11 feet was rescued by forest officials and wildlife experts in Koksara block of Kalahandi district on Saturday morning.

Locals had spotted the reptile near farmland along the Dengaguda Bobaria canal under the Amapani forest section and immediately alerted authorities.

Responding to the call, a joint team from the Amapani forest section, the Dharmagarh Wildlife Rescue Team, and an independent rescue group safely captured the snake.

The python, estimated to be 10–11 years old, was later released into the Sahajkhol forest after the rescue.
