Virender Sehwag’s Son Aryavir Sehwag makes explosive Debut in Delhi Premier League

Aryavir Sehwag, the 18-year-old son of Virender Sehwag, is gaining fame in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025. He played for Central Delhi Kings and hit two successive fours against Navdeep Saini and two against Rounak Waghela. He scored 22 Runs just in 16 Balls.

Aryavir’s performance has become a viral sensation, with praises showering for his boldness. He represents the Delhi Under-19 cricket team and was bought by Central Delhi Kings for Rs 8 lakh. Aryavir says his favorite player is Shubman Gill, but he opted for Virat Kohli when asked to choose between Gill and Kohli. Aryavir’s batting skills are similar to his father, Virender Sehwag, who is considered as one of India’s greatest openers.

The DPL 2025 saw thrilling bidding action, led by pacer Simarjeet Singh who was sold for Rs 39 lakh, the most expensive player of the auction, and mystery spinner Digvesh Singh picked up at Rs 38 lakh. Purani Dilli 6 bought Rishabh Pant to keep him as their retained marquee player leading to the season.
