Woman sexually assaulted by boyfriend and two others in lodge

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a woman was sexually assaulted by her boyfriend and two of his friends in Bhubaneswar. The incident happened at a lodge in the capital city of Odisha.

The accused has been identified as Chandan Kumar Hati, Prasanna Kumar Acharya under Birida police station in Jagatsinghpur district and Rajesh Das of Tumba Adhei street.

According to information, Chandan and the victim met online and then developed a close friendship. On September 10, the accused called the woman to a lodge on the pretext of a photoshoot.

When the woman reached the lodge, Chandan introduced his friends as his teammates for the photoshoot. They had spiked her cold drink with an intoxicant.

When the woman fainted, the accused and his two friends sexually assaulted the woman. After gaining her consciousness, the woman somehow managed to escape from them.

The very next day she lodged a complaint against the three of them. The police after investigation nabbed the three accused.

The three accused were detained and now have been arrested in this matter.

In another incident of sexual assault in Odisha, a minor girl was sexually assaulted by a group of men in Malkangiri. The girl was subjected to sexual assault by a truck driver at an isolated spot.

According to information, the girl was rescued from the main road in Bija Ghat connecting the headquarters and Jeypore. The girl had gone to a birthday party of her friend. She did not return home and the family members frantically searched for her.

Later on she was rescued from the isolated spot on the main road between Malkangiri and Jeypore. A truck driver has been detained in this matter.

According to source, as the family searched for the girl, some locals spotted the truck driver and the girl at the spot and then informed the police.
