Tireless Public Servant

Bhubaneswar: V Karthikeyan Pandian, a former 2000-batch IAS officer hailing from Tamil Nadu, was posted as the Private Secretary to Odisha Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik since 2011. He had served as the Collector of Ganjam District, Naveen’s home district before joining the Secretariat as Private Secretary to the Chief Minister. Recently he has been appointed as the chairman of 5T & Nabin Odisha.

After the midnight operation held at Pyarimohan Mohapatra’s residence in 2012, the political as well as administrative scenario got a drastic turn and the face of VK Pandian was stormed in. He surprisingly visits places in various fields like tourist spots, spiritual institutions, mines to review developmental works and to ensure all the support from the State govt.

The former bureaucrat is now-a-days known as the ‘Super Boss’ for his extraordinary authority, selfless work for the State and managing all the governmental programmes in well manner. The hard work and positive efforts of the super boss help to double the power of CM Naveen. All the developmental projects of Odisha Government are personally reviewed by the 5T chairman. There was no such dedicated person with CM in the past, who sleeps at 12 midnight and starts his duties at 4am.

Pandian, the man behind every success episodes of Naveen govt., got the highest authority in the govt, next to the CM. Previously the super bureaucrat appointed as the 5T secretary of the govt, which includes all the departments of the administration. Some back biters are blaming the 5T secretary for his native and work style. But from the deep from their heart, all feel that the State never ever saw such kind of hard working person. If all the leaders and public figures of Odisha would have done such tireless duties before, the face of Odisha would better than now.
