Tight Security in Cuttack Ahead of Hanuman Jayanti Celebrations

Cuttack: Extensive security arrangements have been put in place across the city ahead of Hanuman Jayanti, with authorities anticipating large gatherings and multiple processions.
According to police sources, two major rallies along with city-wide processions will be organised by Hindu Sena and Hindu Jagaran Manch to mark the occasion. In response, the Commissionerate Police has implemented a series of precautionary measures to maintain law and order.
Strict guidelines have been issued to prevent the spread of inflammatory and divisive content on social media platforms. Surveillance has been significantly strengthened, with CCTV cameras installed and drone monitoring deployed along key procession routes.
Security deployment has been intensified at sensitive locations, where plain-clothes personnel will remain on watch. Armed police have also been stationed on rooftops to closely monitor activities during the festivities.
More than 20 platoons of additional forces have been deployed across the city to ensure smooth and peaceful celebrations. As part of the preparations, a flag march was conducted on Saturday involving personnel from the Border Security Force (BSF), Odisha State Armed Police, and senior police officials.
Authorities stated that the visible security presence is intended to boost public confidence and deter any anti-social activities. Officials have reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that the festival is observed peacefully in Cuttack.
