Three Revenue Officials Suspended in Cuttack Over Negligence in Revenue Duties

Cuttack: Cuttack Collector and District Magistrate Dattatreya Bhausaheb Shinde has suspended three revenue officials over alleged negligence in the discharge of official duties, particularly serious irregularities in Column-2 amendment work.

The suspended officials have been identified as Revenue Inspector Suchandra Mohanty of Gati Raut Patana RI Circle under Cuttack Sadar Tahasil, Revenue Inspector Anuradha Sahu of Jodamu RI Circle under Baramba Tahasil, and Revenue Supervisor Shubhashree Shubhasmita Mohanty, who was in charge of Jagannathpur RI Circle under Tangi-Chowdwar Tahasil.

According to an official order issued by the office of the Collector and District Magistrate, the action was taken under Rule-12 of the Odisha Civil Services Rules, 1962.

During the suspension period, the officials have been instructed not to leave their respective headquarters without prior permission from the competent authority. They will receive subsistence allowance as per the provisions laid down under Rule-90 of the Odisha Service Code.

The Collector has also directed the authorities concerned to complete the departmental proceedings related to the matter within six months.
