Railways Augments Additional Coaches in Key Trains to Manage Passenger Rush

Bhubaneswar: In view of the rising passenger rush during the upcoming week, Indian Railways has decided to temporarily augment additional coaches in several important express trains to provide more comfortable travel facilities and accommodate increased demand.
According to the Railways, Train No. 20817 Bhubaneswar–New Delhi Rajdhani Tejas Express will run with one additional Third AC coach on May 30, 2026. Similarly, Train No. 20818 New Delhi–Bhubaneswar Tejas Rajdhani Express will be augmented with an extra Third AC coach on May 31, 2026.

Train No. 12837 Howrah–Puri Super Fast Express will operate with one additional Sleeper Class coach from May 30 to June 5, 2026.
Likewise, Train No. 18039 Shalimar–Puri Express will run with an additional Third AC coach on May 31, 2026.
Train No. 18045 Shalimar–Charlapalli East Coast Express will also be augmented with one additional Third AC coach on May 30 and 31, as well as on June 1, 2, 4, and 5, 2026.
Further, Train No. 18063 Santragachi–Yelahanka Junction AC Express will operate with an additional Third AC coach on June 4, 2026.
Railway officials said the temporary augmentation of coaches will create extra berths for passengers travelling on these busy routes and help ease congestion during the peak travel period.
