Tension after woman’s death in ESI hospital

Tension prevailed at Jayadev Square here as locals blocked the road after a woman died at the ESI hospital early Thursday morning.

The people alleged medical negligence in the case and demanded compensation for the bereaved family.

The deceased, a resident of Salia Sahi, was admitted to the hospital for treatment of asthma.

But doctors advised family member of the woman to shift her to another hospital as her condition deteriorated.

However, it was delayed due to some technical problem in the computer at the hospital, her husband alleged.

Salia Sahi locals reached the spot as news about her death spread and blocked Jayadev Vihar-Mayfair Hotel Square by placing the body on road.

The Police reached the spot and tried to persuade the people to clear traffic on the road.
