Tea Stall Turns Ganja Hub, Shopkeeper Arrested

Bhubaneswar: A tea stall in VSS Nagar was allegedly being used as a front for selling ganja. Acting on information about suspected illegal activities, excise officials conducted a raid at the roadside tea cabin on Thursday.
During the operation, officials reportedly recovered ganja along with GoGo rolling papers from inside the shop. The tea stall owner was arrested from the spot in connection with the alleged illegal trade.

According to local sources, the shopkeeper had allegedly continued the activity despite repeated warnings. The raid has also raised concerns over the alleged sale of intoxicating substances from small roadside shops and cabins in parts of the capital.

The excise team is expected to determine the quantity of ganja seized and investigate the possible network involved in the illegal trade. Authorities are continuing their crackdown on the sale of narcotic substances in Bhubaneswar and surrounding areas, particularly ahead of the festive season.
