STF Intensifies Statewide Crackdown on Inter-State Drug Syndicate

Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of the Crime Branch has intensified its crackdown on an inter-state drug syndicate, with large-scale raids continuing across Odisha for the past two days. The operation targets networks trafficking marijuana and synthetic drugs, in coordination with police forces from other states.
Acting on government directives, district Superintendents of Police, under the guidance of the Director General of Police (DGP) and DGP Crime, have deployed plainclothes personnel in markets, shops, and slum areas to monitor suspects and gather intelligence.

STF SP Ravi Satapathy confirmed that the raids are part of a larger special operation active for the last 15 days. The STF is working closely with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) to combat the state’s growing drug trade.
Officials said the enforcement drive aims to dismantle supply chains and identify the masterminds behind the trafficking network. Authorities have assured sustained operations until the syndicate is completely broken.
