Sodasa Upachar Puja at Maa Cuttack Chandi Temple Begins

Cuttack: The autumn season has bid farewell to the monsoon season which also brings the season of festivities. Maa Durga will descend on the earth and the festive fervor is going to grip the people in this Sharadiya Puja season (worship of the autumn).

From today, the preparations at all Shakti Peethas of the state have begun in full swing. Today marks the Muslastami of the month of Ashwin according to the Hindu calendar. It is the first day of the Sodasa Upachar Puja of Durga Puja. The presiding goddess of Cuttack, Maa Cuttack Chandi’s Sodasa Upachar rituals. The Sodasa Upachar Puja begins by installing the mother from the day of Mulashtami today. All the rituals will be performed for Maa Cuttack Chandi.

For this, all kinds of arrangements have been made. After the installation today, various Veshas of the mother will be held which will bring the influx of devotees. Suna Besha will be adorned to Maa Cuttack Chandi  and the devotees can seek darshan of the heavenly avatar today and tomorrow.

Along with this, Maa Cuttack Chandi will also be adorned the Maa Bhubaneswari Besha, Ugratara Besha, Siddhaswari Besha, Narayani Besha, Matangi Besha. A crowd of devotees is expected to throng to the Cuttack Chandi’s temple to witness the Veshas.

Today being a Sunday, the crowd is expected to be huge. Many devotees from different regions flock to Maa Cuttack Chandi during this Puja. Devotees believe that if you get a glimpse of the Goddess at this time, all your wishes will be fulfilled.
