Sex Racket Busted at Hotel in Odisha’s Subarnapur, Five Women Rescued

Bhubaneswar: Police busted an alleged sex racket operating from a hotel on Binika Road in Odisha’s Subarnapur district during a late-night raid on Saturday.

During the operation, police rescued five women and detained seven customers from different rooms of the hotel. All of them were taken to Sonepur police station for questioning.

According to police sources, the raid was carried out following a secret tip-off regarding illegal activities being run from the hotel premises. Officials conducted the surprise operation during a power outage in the area, which helped them maintain secrecy and prevent suspects from escaping.

Police also seized several objectionable items from the hotel during the raid.

Investigators are now trying to determine the identities and native places of the rescued women, as well as how long the alleged prostitution activities had been operating from the hotel.

A detailed investigation into the matter is currently underway.
