President Droupadi Murmu to Visit Odisha Today, Inaugurate Key Projects in Rourkela

Bhubaneswar: President of India Droupadi Murmu is set to visit Odisha on April 21, 2026, during which she will inaugurate several major infrastructure and cultural projects in Rourkela.

As part of her day-long visit, the President will dedicate a Planetarium and Science Centre, the Nirmal Munda Parivesh Path, a Tribal Museum, and an Integrated Command and Control Centre at a public function in the city.

Ahead of the high-profile visit, extensive security arrangements have been put in place by Rourkela Police. Multi-layered security measures are being enforced at the event venue in Sector 13 as well as along the designated convoy routes.

To oversee the preparations, Additional Director General of Police Sanjeeb Panda visited Rourkela and reviewed the arrangements along with DIG (Western Range) Brijesh Kumar Rai, Rourkela SP Nitesh Wadhwani, and other senior officials.

Sundargarh Collector Subhankar Mohapatra stated that all preparations are being carried out in accordance with the Blue Book protocol. He further informed that nearly 50 platoons of police personnel will be deployed to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the President’s visit.
