OTDC Declares ₹1.17 Crore Dividend for FY25

Odisha’s state-run tourism enterprise, the Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC), has outlined an expansion-focused three-year business strategy after contributing a ₹1.17 crore dividend to the state government for the 2024-25 financial year, underscoring its financial position and long-term growth plans.

The corporation said its roadmap centres on raising turnover and profitability by modernising tourism infrastructure, improving operational efficiency, expanding tourism-related offerings and steadily enhancing service standards across its Panthanivas properties and other business units.

OTDC currently occupies a significant place in Odisha’s tourism network. It manages 14 Panthanivas hotel units, operates restaurants serving authentic Odia cuisine and runs a luxury tourist transport fleet catering to both domestic and overseas visitors. Beyond hospitality, the corporation provides travel facilitation through its Air Ticketing Division, while its Engineering Division oversees the planning, execution, upgrading and maintenance of tourism infrastructure across the state.

The dividend cheque was presented to Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Pravati Parida by OTDC Managing Director Deepankar Mohapatra in the presence of senior officials of the corporation.

Parida said OTDC’s sustained efforts to strengthen tourism infrastructure and improve service delivery have played an important role in supporting the state’s tourism sector. She added that maintaining a financially healthy and professionally managed tourism corporation is essential for enriching visitor experiences, generating economic opportunities for local communities and advancing Odisha’s wider tourism development objectives.

The dividend payment for FY25 reflects OTDC’s continued operational performance as the corporation pursues investments aimed at improving infrastructure, broadening its service portfolio and reinforcing the quality of facilities across its network.
