Odisha Youth Killed in Drone Attack in Moscow Amid Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Bhubaneswar: A youth from Odisha’s Ganjam district was reportedly killed in a drone attack in Moscow amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

The deceased has been identified as A. Rameya, a resident of Madhabandha village under Chikiti block in Ganjam district.

According to reports, Rameya had travelled to Russia nearly a month ago in search of employment opportunities. He reportedly lost his life in a drone strike in Moscow.

The tragic news has cast a pall of gloom over his native village, with family members and locals left devastated by the incident.

Confirming the matter, Ganjam Collector Keerthi Vasan V said the district administration is in contact with the Indian Embassy regarding the incident. He added that efforts are underway to bring the mortal remains of the deceased back to Odisha at the earliest.
