Odisha to Enforce COVID-19 Precautions in Schools Post Summer Vacation

Bhubaneswar: Amid a rise in COVID-19 cases, the Odisha government has announced that strict precautionary measures will be implemented in schools across the state when they reopen after the summer vacation. The decision was confirmed by School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond on Wednesday.
“All teachers and students will be instructed to adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols once schools resume. With the increasing number of cases, health and safety are our top priorities,” said Minister Gond during a press briefing.

He emphasized the need for constant vigilance and noted that students showing symptoms such as cold would be required to wear masks on school premises. “Those exhibiting more serious symptoms will be advised to stay at home and isolate themselves,” he added.
The minister also assured that all schools will strictly follow the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Health Department to ensure a safe learning environment for students and staff.
