Odisha Heats Up as Temperatures Cross 35°C

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is experiencing an unusual surge in temperatures, with several districts recording highs above 35°C. On Thursday, Bhubaneswar registered 35.4°C, marking the first instance this year that the capital city has crossed this threshold.

Other regions, including Angul, Jajpur, and Jharsuguda, also saw temperatures soaring past 35°C. Coastal and central Odisha have witnessed an overall rise of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, making daily activities increasingly challenging for residents.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast dry weather for the next seven days. However, parts of northern coastal Odisha may experience moderate fog.

A slight drop in temperature, by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, is expected over the next two days. Despite this, no significant changes in weather patterns are anticipated, suggesting that the heat will persist across the state.
