Education Minister Holds Meeting with UGC, AICTE Officials on Higher Education

Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi held a virtual meeting with officials of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to discuss priorities and strategies for further strengthening higher education institutions.

The meeting focused on emerging requirements in the higher education sector and measures aimed at improving the overall functioning and development of institutions.
According to a social media post by the Education Minister, discussions also covered Khelo Bharat, with emphasis on integrating sports more effectively into educational institutions. The initiative seeks to encourage greater participation of students in sporting activities and provide opportunities to identify and nurture young sporting talent.

The discussions highlighted the importance of creating an education system that supports both academic development and the overall growth of students, including their participation in sports.
