Odisha Govt to Decide on Extending Subhadra Yojana Application Deadline After April 30

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will take a final decision on whether to extend the deadline for fresh applications under the Subhadra Yojana after April 30, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said on Tuesday.

Addressing mediapersons, Parida stated that the decision will be based on a review of the application status at the end of the month. She acknowledged that the number of applications received so far is significantly lower than expected.

The current deadline for submission of applications under the scheme—aimed at eligible women beneficiaries, particularly those who have attained 21 years of age as of April 1, 2026—is April 30.

Parida further informed that in case of technical difficulties faced by applicants, instructions have been issued to allow an additional five days for eligible beneficiaries to complete and submit their applications.

Reiterating the government’s commitment, she said efforts are being made to ensure that all eligible women are brought under the scheme. However, she clarified that a final decision on whether to extend or close the application window will depend on the outcome of the review meeting scheduled for April 30.
