Odisha Fire Service Department deploys 58 powerful pumps to drain rainwater in Puri

Puri: Odisha Fire and Emergency Services has taken extensive steps to resolve the waterlogging problem caused by incessant rain in various parts of Puri district on the eve of Rath Yatra. Keeping in mind the convenience of devotees and local residents, drainage work has been going on day and night at 60 affected places in the district for the last two days.
A total of 58 powerful pumps have been deployed to expedite this drainage operation. While 10 high-capacity pumps with a drainage capacity of 4,200 liters per minute are working, 16 trailer pumps with a drainage capacity of 1,600 liters per minute are being used.
In addition, 32 portable pumps with a capacity of 400 liters per minute are actively working to drain water from the ground in various streets.
In the last two days, Odisha Fire and Emergency Services personnel have been continuously working to restore normal life by draining lakhs of liters of water from the rain-affected areas.
