Odisha CM Majhi Distributes 1,326 Appointment Letters at 16th Nijukti Mela
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today distributed 1,326 appointment letters to new recruits across nine departments at the 16th Nijukti Mela 2026 held at the Rail Auditorium in Bhubaneswar.
Congratulating the new appointees, Majhi said that success in government service is measured not by position but by the positive change one brings to citizens’ lives. He urged them to listen to people with respect and work toward timely solutions to their problems.
The Chief Minister highlighted that Odisha is now witnessing reverse migration, with youth returning from other states as industrial development creates new job opportunities. Since June 2024, the state has provided 45,408 government jobs, he said.
Majhi added that Odisha is on track to become a key growth engine for Viksit Bharat 2047, with industrial investments of over Rs 21 lakh crore expected to generate 20 lakh employment opportunities. He also shared that recent roadshows in Delhi and Noida secured 38 MoUs worth Rs 66,392 crore, creating more than 54,000 new jobs.
The Chief Minister advised new recruits to stay away from corruption and serve with dedication. Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Ministers Rabi Narayan Naik, Dr Mukesh Mahaling, and Gokulananda Mallik also addressed the event, urging the youth to work with integrity and commitment toward Odisha’s progress.
The ceremony featured representatives from various departments, including Housing and Urban Development, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water, Agriculture, Health, Fisheries and Animal Resources, Sports, Skill Development, and Excise.
Majhi concluded by stating that Odisha’s industrial momentum and employment drive will continue to transform the state’s economic landscape in the coming years.
