Odisha announces 110 Crore flood assistance for 22 districts

Bhubaneswar: The Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management Suresh Pujari has announced that the flood damage assesement report from various department will be declared by 5PM in the evening on Friday.
The Minister informed that the government has approved 110 Crore flood assistance for 22 districts ravaged by the recent floods in the state.
Baleshwar, Bhadrak, and Jajpur districts have suffered extensive losses. So, the districts will receive the most flood assistance. Baleshwar will receive Rs 22.03 crore, Jajpur Rs 20.20 crore, and Bhadrak Rs 20.12 crore.

- Mayurbhanj: Rs 5.02 crore
- Khordha: Rs 2.06 crore
- Subarnapur: Rs 2.31 crore
- Boudh: Rs 1.29 crore
- Balangir: Rs 1.17 crore
- Dhenkanal: Rs 1.10 crore
- Baragada: Rs 1.05 crore
- Kalahandi: Rs 1.05 crore
- Nuapada: Rs 1.05 crore
- Kandhamal: Rs 1.01 crore
- Cuttack: Rs 1.01 crore
- Koraput: Rs 1.01 crore
- Malkangiri: Rs 1.01 crore
- Rayagada: Rs 1.01 crore
- Sundargarh: Rs 1.01 crore
Some areas in several districts still remain affected by flood as water is yet to receded. Water levels in various rivers have not reduced. The state witnessed 65 percent more rainfall than normal level this July month.
