Bhubaneswar: In a major breakthrough against organised crime and drug trafficking, the Special Crime Unit (SCU) of Bhubaneswar Police on Wednesday injured a notorious criminal and alleged drug peddler, Pupun Majhi, during an encounter in the Info Valley area of the city.

According to police sources, the encounter took place when an SCU team intercepted Majhi during a raid. As police attempted to apprehend him, Majhi allegedly opened fire on the team while trying to flee from the spot.
