Major IPS Reshuffle in Odisha; SPs of Eight Districts Transferred

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Sunday carried out a major reshuffle in the Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre, transferring Superintendents of Police (SPs) of eight districts along with several senior officers across the state.
The districts affected in the reshuffle include Nabarangpur, Khurda, Rayagada, Bargarh, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Boudh and Kandhamal.
According to an official notification issued by the Home Department, a total of 14 IPS officers and four senior Odisha Police Service (OPS) officers have been transferred in this round of postings.
As per the notification, Nabarangpur SP Madkar Sandeep Sampath has been transferred and posted as DIG, CID-CB, while Kashyam Partha has been appointed as the new SP of Nabarangpur.
Khurda SP Vivekananda Sharma has been shifted to CID-CB as SP. Ganjam SP Suvhendu Kumar Patra has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police of Khurda.
Similarly, Kandhamal SP Harisha BC has been transferred and posted as SP of Ganjam, while Ramendra Prasad has been appointed as the new SP of Kandhamal.
In another key change, Rayagada SP Swathy S Kumar has been posted as SP, Bhubaneswar STF (Special Task Force). Raj Prasad has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police of Rayagada.
The reshuffle also includes transfers and postings in several other important positions in the police administration across Odisha.
