Khordha Road Tragedy: Odisha CM Announces ₹4 Lakh Relief for Bereaved Family

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday mourned the tragic death of a father and his daughter, who lost their lives in a road accident near Gangapada Chowk in Khordha district.

Expressing grief over the incident, the Chief Minister extended his sympathies to the bereaved family and offered prayers for the eternal peace of the departed souls, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said in a statement.

As a gesture of support to the affected family, Majhi announced an ex gratia of ₹4 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for the next of kin of the deceased.

The Chief Minister stated that the financial assistance is intended to provide immediate relief to the family as they cope with the loss caused by the unfortunate accident.
