Jagatsinghpur Schools to Operate from 6:30 to 9 AM Amid Heatwave
The Jagatsinghpur district administration revised school timings from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. for all institutions to protect students from the severe heatwave.
The Collector and District Magistrate of Jagatsinghpur issued an official order directing all government, aided, and private schools to follow the new schedule immediately. The directive aims to safeguard schoolchildren from rising temperatures and ensure their well-being during the ongoing heatwave.
Authorities instructed schools to provide safe drinking water, adequate ORS packets, and restrict outdoor activities during school hours. Officials emphasised strict compliance and warned that violations would attract disciplinary action.
The order reached all Block Education Officers, District Welfare Officers, and Public Relations Officers for implementation and public awareness. The administration also requested cooperation from parents and teachers to maintain safety standards.
