India, West Indies Fined for Slow Over Rates in 3rd ODI

India and the West Indies have been fined for maintaining slow over-rates during the third and final ODI in New Chandigarh, where the visitors chased down India’s 351-run target.
India were found four overs short of the required rate after time allowances, resulting in a 20% match-fee fine. The West Indies, two overs short, were fined 10%.
The sanctions were imposed by match referee Prakash Bhatt under Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which carries a 5% fine per over short. Both captains pleaded guilty and accepted the penalties, avoiding formal hearings.
India nevertheless clinched the three-match series 2-1. While their batting delivered strongly, with centuries from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli and a record double hundred from Shubman Gill, their bowling remained a concern after West Indies chased 352 in just 48.2 overs, losing only two wickets.
