IGP, Central Range Reviews Security & Traffic Arrangements at Alarnath Temple as Devotee Footfall Rises After Devasnana Purnima

Brahmagiri: In view of the significant influx of devotees to the sacred Shree Alarnath Temple, Brahmagiri, following the observance of the holy Devasnana Purnima, Dr. Satyajit Naik, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Central Range, Odisha, visited the temple today to review the security, traffic, crowd management and overall policing arrangements put in place for the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
During his visit, Dr. Naik undertook a comprehensive inspection of the temple premises, entry and exit routes, queue management system, parking arrangements, traffic diversions, deployment of police personnel and emergency response mechanisms. He interacted with senior police officers on the ground and reviewed the preparedness to ensure a safe, secure and hassle-free darshan for the thousands of devotees visiting the temple during the Anasara period of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath.

The IGP instructed all officers and personnel to remain alert, courteous and proactive while performing their duties. He stressed the importance of seamless coordination among the police, district administration, temple authorities and other stakeholder agencies to effectively manage the increasing crowd and maintain public convenience.
To ensure robust security and efficient crowd regulation, an elaborate deployment has been made comprising nearly 10 platoons of police force, supervised by one Additional Superintendent of Police, three Deputy Superintendents of Police, three Inspectors and around 60 Sub-Inspectors/Assistant Sub-Inspectors, along with adequate supporting police personnel.
Special emphasis has been laid on traffic regulation, parking management, pedestrian safety, emergency medical assistance, anti-sabotage measures and quick response to any contingency. Dedicated teams have also been deployed to facilitate smooth movement of devotees and prevent overcrowding in and around the temple premises.
Dr. Naik appealed to all devotees to cooperate with the police and administration, follow traffic advisories, maintain queue discipline and adhere to the instructions issued by security personnel for the collective safety and convenience of everyone.
