Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Visit Odisha, Tour HAL’s Defence Production Unit

Bhubaneswar: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will undertake a day-long visit to Odisha on Tuesday, during which he is scheduled to visit the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) defence production unit at Sunabeda in Koraput district.

According to reports, Singh will attend a programme at the Sunabeda HAL unit and review various defence production-related activities. He is also expected to interact with senior HAL officials and representatives associated with the defence sector.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is likely to accompany the Defence Minister during the visit.

Singh’s visit is considered significant in view of the ongoing defence production activities at the HAL unit and related issues concerning the sector.

After completing his Odisha visit, Singh is expected to leave for Delhi via Raipur in the afternoon
