‘Dakshinamoda’ of three chariots today

Puri: ‘Dakshinamoda’ of three chariots today. Today the three chariots will be turned south in Puri of Odisha. The three chariots of the three deities will be pulled from in front of the Singhadwara of Gundicha Ghar and will reach Saradhabali.

Accordingly, preparations have begun on the Bada Danda, the grand road. Sand has been laid from Bada Shankha to Muktaakash Rangamanch. This will help in pulling the chariots.

Today, after the Sakala Dhupa rituals, once the Agya Mala comes from the deities to the chariots, the chariot pulling will begin. First, Goddess Subhadra’s Debadalan chariot, then Lord Balabhadra’s Taladhwaja chariot, and finally Lord Jagannath’s Nandighosha chariot will arrive in front of the Nakachana Gate. Therefore, after the ‘dakshinamoda’, the chariots will be ready to roll towards the Shree Mandira.

Preparations are underway for Mahaprabhu’s Bahuda Yatra. After yesterday’s Hera Panchami rituals were completed, the preparatory phase for the return journey has begun.

At Shreekshetra Puri, Mahaprabhu’s Hera Panchami ritual has been held. After reaching Shree Gundicha Temple, when Goddess Lakshmi did not get darshan of Mahaprabhu, the Goddess Lakshmi, in anger and insult, broke Lord Jagannath’s Nandighosha chariot and returned to the Shree Mandira again in a simple, unceremonious procession.
