Residents expressed their joy at the city’s festive makeover. “Every year, the decorations give Bhubaneswar a fresh look. It feels like a new place, with more to explore,” said Prakash, a local resident for the past five years. Shefali, another resident, shared her emotional response to the tricolour lights. “It fills my heart with patriotism and deep respect for the country,” she said.
Prominent buildings, including Lok Seva Bhawan, Rajiv Bhawan, Rail Sadan, the Accountant General’s Office, and the Commissionerate Police headquarters, were illuminated in saffron, white, and green.
