Bhadrak schools to stay closed tomorrow due to heavy rain in view of low pressure system

Bhadrak: The district administration of Odisha’s Bhadrak on Wednesday declared holidays for all schools across the district tomorrow in view of heavy rainfall caused by the low pressure system.
As per reports, heavy rainfall has disrupted the normal life in the district.
In view of continuous rainfall, low-lying areas in the district are experiencing water logging.
Therefore, all the schools functioning in the district will remain closed tomorrow, Collector Dillip Routray informed in a statement.
All government, government-aided and private schools will remain closed for the day.
Heavy rainfall has been occurring in the district over the last few days and life is adversely affected. Hence the decision was taken as a precautionary measure, he added.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the low pressure system formed over the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify in a low pressure area in the next 24 hours.
As per the system, rain has been occurring in the district from Tuesday night.
Coastal region of the district is receiving more rain.
In the background of this forecast, the decision to close schools for a day has been taken by the district administration.
