Armed Dacoity in Bhadrak: Robbers Loot Cash and Gold Worth Over Rs 42 Lakh

Bhadrak: In a shocking incident of late-night armed robbery, a gang of seven to nine dacoits allegedly looted cash and gold ornaments worth over Rs 42 lakh from a house in Ambroli village under Bhadrak Rural Police limits.
According to sources, the incident took place at the residence of Gangadhar Mallick near Talang Canal Bandh in Ambroli Panchayat late at night. The armed miscreants reportedly barged into the house while the family members were asleep.

The robbers allegedly held the family at gunpoint and knife-point, threatening them and creating panic inside the house before carrying out the loot. They decamped with nearly Rs 22 lakh in cash and gold ornaments valued at more than Rs 20 lakh.
After committing the crime, the dacoits reportedly locked the house from outside and fled the scene, leaving the family trapped inside. The family members were later rescued after local residents noticed the unusual situation and broke open the lock.
The daring robbery has triggered fear and tension among residents in the area. Police have launched an investigation and efforts are underway to identify and trace the gang involved in the high-value heist.
