Amit Shah Slams Odisha Government

Subarnapur (Pramit Pramathes Satpathy): During an election rally in Subarnapur in Western Odisha yesterday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized the ruling BJD party for running a corrupt government. Shah kicked off BJP’s electioneering in Odisha with a scathing attack on the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik asking the people to root out the BJD government from the state.

Shah accused Naveen of taking credit for welfare programs launched by the Modi government and diverting attention from the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple by inaugurating the Srimandir Parikrama Project. He urged the people to vote for BJP candidates in 20 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha to see Modi ji becoming Prime Minister for the third time.

The Union Home Minister mentioned that a large number of individuals from Odisha migrate to different states such as Mumbai, Gujarat, Delhi, and Bangalore every year in search of employment. He promised that if the BJP is elected, they would ensure that no one has to leave the state for work. He assured to provide piped water to every household in the state if the BJP is elected. Additionally, he criticized Naveen Patnaik for being reluctant to implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme due to his fear of Prime Minister Narendra Modi receiving credit.

Shah also assured to establish a textile industry for farmers, a fisheries college for the benefit of fishermen, and create agro-based industries for the welfare of farmers in the region if the BJP is voted to power in Odisha.
