Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets

NEW DELHI: (Apr 22) Aluminium prices on Wednesday rose nearly 0.82 per cent to Rs 368.30 per kg in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of aluminium for delivery on April 30 increased by Rs 3 or 0.82 per cent, to Rs 368.30 per kilogram in 1,992 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
