Shepherd woman sexually assaulted in Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur: In a ghastly incident, a woman was sexually assaulted while she had gone to graze her goat in the forest. The incident happened in Chandagarh area under Sadar police station limits in Jagatsinghpur district.

According to information, the woman had gone to the forest and a youth spotted her and then forcibly took her with him. He then brutally hit her and attempted to molest her.

The woman is currently undergoing treatment in the Community Health Centre in Jagatsinghpur. She has lodged a complaint in the Raghunathpur police limits.

The incident of the shepherd woman being subjected to brutal attack and sexual assault has sent shockwaves in the district. Police is investigating the matter to nab the accused.

A few days ago another incident of sexual assault of a minor girl by a group of men had shocked everyone. The girl was returning from a birthday party when she was assaulted by a group of men. After the assault she was abandoned at a spot.

A truck driver spotted her and then sexually abused her again. The girl somehow managed to escape from the truck driver and ran to her home. On reaching her home she fainted.

Her family members then realised what had happened and rushed her to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Jagatsinghpur in a critical condition. The father of the girl then lodged a case in the Jagatsinghpur police station.
