180 teams participate in State level science expo

Sambalpur, Dec 22: A state level science exhibition began here today with 180 participants from 30 districts of the state.

Guest participants from different reputed institutions of the state and other parts of the country like Karnatak, Mumbai are also here to showcase their innovative projects on science, technology, environment and mathematics.

Sambalpur    MLA Dr. Raseswari Panigrahi, accompanied by collector Samarth Verma, SP Sanjiv Aroara, VC of VSSUT Burla Atal Choudhuri, Director of IIM S Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal, DEO Subodh Kumar Dash, Prof. Sunita Farkia of NCERT New Delhi and a host of other intellectuals and educationists, inaugurated the programme.

All the speakers appealed students to create inquisitiveness within themselves for innovative ideas.

They also urged the science teachers present to guide students in a way that would be helpful for acquiring knowledge.

The speaker advised the teacher to do away  with traditional teaching procedure and created interest in students for study of science and
mathematics.
