Benevolent Deeds of Pandian

Bhubaneswar (Surjit Kumar Dhal): With a financial assistance of Rs 1.5 lakh to 12 poor footballers, the senior administrator, v Karthikeyan Pandian provided them with shoes and other items has now become a hot topic. Before some days, VK Pandian was returning from morning walk from Kalinga Stadium. He saw ten to twelve girls playing football in front of the stadium gate. VK Pandian immediately got out of his car and started talking with them.

These girls from different places came to practice football taking rented houses in Salia Sahi slum. The top bureaucrat was shocked to hear this. He immediately provided them shoes and clothes. He later learned that all the footballers who came to practice were aiming to build their futures by playing football by the efforts of famous football coach late Nanda Kishore Patnaik. Later, Pandian held talks with late Patnaik and provided clothes, shoes and other accessories to about 25 young girls practicing at the Kalinga Stadium.

In addition, Pandian has provided financial assistance to nearly 12 poor players playing for the State in the senior division and coming to the Kalinga Stadium for practice. With the exception of sports hostel inmates, some senior players and senior administrators inside the Kalinga Stadium, no one was allowed. Pandian instructed the employees of Kalinga Stadium to let the players to enter inside the stadium. It is an old incident but we ought to inform our readers about the high heartedness  of the super bureaucrat of Odisha.
