Laxmi’s Prayer for Her Dibyanga Son

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): On December 3rd, the National Disability Day celebrated across the world. Our central government as well as state government promised the nation for the betterment of Dibyangas with every kind of help. But a news from Kendujhar of the State of Odisha thrilled our mind.

Smt. Laxmi Rout wife of Rabindra Kumar Swain is working in Heath & Family Welfare department in Salabani Public Health Centre, Kendujhar. She has a son named Avilash Swain, who is a physically disabled. Laxmi was previously transferred to Jhumpura CHC on 26/06/2018. But because of the care and treatment of her Dibyanga son, the working lady, who is the only earning person in her family remained in her area with deputation till July 2020. After completion of her deputation she is now in on leave as she couldn’t join in her new assignment.

When the entire world along with our nation prepared Dibyangs care programmes, how a mother of a Dibyanga suffers so much? Is this incident considered by our administration? So many questions arise here with the story of this helpless women. We request to the authorities to consider the problem of Laxmi and help her as the administration can. Laxmi Rout requests to the government through Reporters Today to approve her VRS and assist her to take care of her son with financial help.
