Odisha to Witness Heavy Rainfall Today

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): Rain will continue to lash several parts of the state, including the capital city today. As per the latest bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department  Regional Centre here, light to moderate rain or thundersshower is very likely to occur at one or two places over 10 districts till 1.30 PM today.

The districts are Baleswar, Keonjhar, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Puri, Khordha, Nabarangpur, Bhadrak, Angul and Ganjam.

Meanwhile, the IMD has predicted a fresh low pressure area over north Andaman Sea and adjoining east central Bay of Bengal around October 9. It is very likely to move north-westwards towards north Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coasts with gradual intensification into a depression during subsequent two  to three days. The depression may further lead to a cyclone.
