PPT hospital promoting medicinal plants garden

(Surjit Dhal PARADIP, FEB 17): Paradip Port Trust (PPT) Hospital is raising a medicinal plants garden in front of the hospital.

The project work has started under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Prahallad Chandra Panda.

Medicinal plants have been a part of life since human life came to existence on Earth. These plants, their leaves, flowers and roots have been used for various medicinal purposes time immemorial.

Advanced medicines and pills had almost replaced Ayurveda till recently when governments became conscious about the significance of the ancient Indian system of medicines- Ayurveda.

In Ayurveda, medicinal plants and herbs hold key to amelioration of many physical and mental ailments and general health problems.

The blind dependence on synthetic medicines is over and people are returning to the natural way of treatment for safety and safety. It’s time to promote them globally.

In this context, the PPT is promoting the medicinal plant  garden with the help of Odisha Forest Development Corporation (OFDC).
